dickon83 Posted June 12, 2011 Report Posted June 12, 2011 Hi all I think i may have bought a cursed galaxy I foolishly bought it from the car auction (never again) to find out it had a automatic gearbox fault which I had fixed then they couldnt set gearbox up as kept going into safe mode... Overboosting found the vanes were stuck so now that to is sorted........ We havent exactly had the best of starts together alas there are a few things left that I need to sort out hopefully you can help.... There is a air leak on the brake pedal which comes and goes? The boot thinks its open been in and soldered a lot of broken wires but still not solved has anyone got a wiring diagram I could have so I can try and peace the loom out? Drivers door lock has a mind of its own when using the remote sometimes locks when the rest unlock and vice versa? The trip meter resets eveytime you switch the engine off? My clock doesnt work :) And the parking sensors dont work but not bothered about them...... I also need a door mirror mines a 2001 will this one fit its the right colour  as from what I can make out they changed in 1998 but I dont know what changed...... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180680228294&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT Sorry I have ran on a bit but any information would be fantastic :16: Thanks in advance... seatkid Posted June 12, 2011 Report Posted June 12, 2011 There is a air leak on the brake pedal which comes and goes? Check the main vacuum pipe from the servo going back to the engine (towards inlet manifold for petrol, towards vacuum pump for diesel) It often splits at the ends of a run where there is a joint or connection to the manifold (petrol engine) Quote
Caff Posted June 12, 2011 Report Posted June 12, 2011 Re door lock, clock and trip. After we had the classic flood in the passenger foot-well we had the same problem. It was a fuse. Haven't recorded which one except that our little user manual had it as an engine management fuse. After this was replaced all was well. We replaced the parking sensors control unit with one bought from good old Volkswagen.Good luck!Caff Quote
